Everyone is a legislator of his own heart, writing or striking down laws in his own conscience. To over legislate is to create many impossible burdens which tend to oppression, bondage, guilt, and misery. On the other hand, to reject absolute law is to exercise an arbitrary law of a selfish and capricious nature. This nature is ever changing and inconsistent. Those who live by this law regard others only in as much as they may affect them.
Lastly there are those who refuse to write law. They seek eternal Truth, Justice, and Love. When they have found them, they embrace them and engrave them upon their heart as Law.

this is pure genius… and utterly quotable in so many places!
